Why Use Long-Tail Keywords for SEO?
As a reminder, the long-tail keyword is made up of a multitude of keywords attracting few visitors, but the accumulation of which can generate very significant traffic. They all have low competition and easy to rank on search engine.
So that, SEO strategy remains to find the long tail keywords for your site.
How Do You Find Long-Tail Keywords?
To achieve this, I offer you 11 techniques that have already proven by myself:
1. Google Suggestion
Google made suggestion list automatically. If you just want to find long tail keywords, open a Google search page and enter the main keyword of your website in the search bar .
Google has their suggestible function, keyword ideas will be immediately provided to you.
Admittedly, their number will sometimes be limited to 8 or 10, but by multiplying the capture of keywords (a word, several words, an expression), you will quickly be able to benefit from hundreds of ideas for your long tail keywords.
2. Related Google Searches
Google search engine can provide you with long tail keywords via its associated searches.
For each search performed, Google offers, at the bottom of the results page, associated searches that resemble ideas to enrich your long tail.
Again, multiply the searches with different keywords and you will have many ideas of long tail keywords.
3. Product lists on e-commerce sites
Particularly interesting for those who looking to reference an online store, this third technique is to go to an e-commerce site like eBay, Amazon or even Home Depot and enter the name of a product that you sell.
Do the research and the product lists acting as results will give you a maximum of long tail keywords to exploit for the referencing of your site. Others can be found by consulting the product sheets present in these lists.
4. A dictionary of synonyms
This may be surprising, but it is common for SEOs to omit long tail keywords that sometimes seem obvious.
Also, always be sure to take a look at a dictionary of synonyms when searching for keywords. This will avoid missing out on a keyword that seems essential for your niche.
5. Customer reviews
Sometimes you don’t have to go far to find additional keywords to rank your website. In fact, the simple consultation of customer opinions on your products or services may suffice.
By telling you about their satisfaction or dissatisfaction, they will necessarily bring up elements that correspond to the concerns of your target. It is therefore relevant to know how to analyze them in order to reference yourself on them.
In other words, you have new expressions of the long tail there.
At a time when Wikipedia can be considered an expert in natural referencing as the online encyclopedia manages to “come out” in the best results whatever the request, consulting these pages can prove to be wise.
Just consult the page(s) linked to your main keyword or niche and you will easily find the associated keywords.
Not only will these be present, but in addition they will be easily identifiable since, most often, they are linked and therefore appear in color in Wikipedia pages.
Soolve is one of our favorite tools as it is so pleasant to use. Yes, just enter your main keyword and you will enjoy a cloud of keywords in seconds.
Elegantly presented with different databases come from Wikipedia, Answer, eBay, Google, Bing and YouTube. Reflecting the relative importance of each keyword, this cloud provides you with good ideas for an SEO strategy based on the long tail.
What’s more, by combining several words from the cloud, you can create expressions that are particularly relevant for the long tail.
8. Press Release sites
Some websites have made aggregation of press releases their specialty. These can be a good source for finding long tail keywords.
Specifically designed to “sell” and “seduce”, press releases contain expressions on which you must be well ranked. Also, take the time to find the press releases corresponding to your niches and increase the size of your keyword list.
9. Keyword Finder by Mangools
Let’s face it, Keyword Finder tool is not necessarily accessible to everyone since it is paid and the subscriptions are relatively expensive. However, it was impossible not to talk about this tool as it is so effective when it comes to finding long tail keywords.
In fact, who better than your own competitors may have needed to do the work that you are doing. Also, with Keyword Finder, analyze the sites of your competitors and benefit from comprehensive reports on the keywords on which they are ranked in search engines.
